These terms describe the intended use of Work Ponto by businesses and employees, together with the responsibilities of each role. The service is operated by SELF SERVICE APP LTDA.
1. The service
Work Ponto provides smartphone attendance recording with device biometric authentication and location verification. Businesses can manage working hours, download monthly Excel summaries and use the included API for integrations.
2. Employers and administrators
The business is responsible for configuring its workplace and employee access, informing employees about attendance and data use, reviewing records and restricting access to authorized staff. It must decide whether its use meets applicable employment, payroll, privacy and recordkeeping requirements. Reports and integrations must be checked before payroll or other business decisions.
3. Employees
Provide accurate registration information, use your own authorized account and record attendance truthfully. Protect your device, password and verification codes. Report incorrect records or access problems to your employer. Do not attempt to bypass biometric or location verification or record attendance for another person.
4. Free use and paid employees
Work Ponto is free without a time limit for up to three employees. From the fourth employee, a monthly fee per employee applies. Confirm the current amount and payment conditions with Work Ponto before adding paid employees. API access carries no additional integration fee.
5. Availability and integrations
The service is designed for use throughout the year. Connectivity, device compatibility, permissions, maintenance or third-party services can affect availability. Businesses should establish a process for recording attendance when the service or a device is unavailable. Keep API credentials private and give integrations only authorized access.
6. Appropriate use and communications
Use Work Ponto only for authorized business and employment purposes. Do not disrupt the service, attempt unauthorized access, or send unlawful content or information you are not entitled to share. Messages and photos sent to a selected business are available to that business's authorized team.
7. Privacy, account closure and questions
The privacy policy and account deletion page explain data handling and closure requests. Uninstalling the app does not submit an account deletion request.
